The Dragon and The Dove

November 4, 1986 to November 8, 1986

By James Bridie

Directed by Chris Redfearn

The story tells of how Maria, the niece of the hermit, Abraham, was seduced by the monk, Absolom, and fled to Memphis; of how Abraham with the help of his friend, Ephraem, rescued her from the inn of "The Three kittens of Bubastis" and its evil keepers, Ma and Josef, and restored her again to her saintly life.  It is presented to us by an Abbot who tells the story to a Prioress to while away the time waiting for an interview with their bishop.
