November 14, 1995 to November 18, 1995
By Debbie Isitt
Directed by Vida Ayres
Introduction
In their 'almost 48 years' of presenting plays to the playgoers of Derby, this is the first time the Marlowe Players have given a world premiere of a new play by a professional playwright. We recognise the human situations in Debbie Isitts play, indeed we may have met some of the characters! It has given me great pleasure to direct this black comedy by one of Englands rising young playwrights.......Vida Ayres - Director.
The play is set in a small town in England. The action takes place in and around the homes of the Peaches and the Chapmans. Briefly we move to Australia where the Hodges have emigrated. Time - the present, over a period of approximately two months.
