Laundry and Bourbon
Set around the front porch of Roy and Elizabeth's home in Maynard, Texas, on a hot summer afternoon, sipping Bourbon and Coke, they gossip about the many open secrets, so much a part of small town life. They are joined by the self-righteous Amy Lee. While ensuing conversation is increasingly edged with bitter humour, from it emerges a sense of Elizabeth's inner strength in coping with her husband's return from Vietnam.
