Juno and the Paycock

Juno and the Paycock takes place in the tenements of Dublin in 1922, just after the outbreak of the Irish Civil War, and revolves around the misfortunes of the dysfunctional Boyle family. The play is a devastating portrait of wasted potential in a Dublin torn apart by the chaos of the Irish Civil War, punctuated by the humour and good will that was a necessity in order for daily life to go on under the cloud of political unrest
