A fortune from his aunt is conditional on Billy remaining "Pure" until his twenty first. A drink at his "Local" is planned, but, after a hazily recollected wild party, he is embarrassed to find a scantily-clad girl on his sofa. Events rapidly overtake him. A telegram boy's disappearance, a scheming mother, a suspicious policeman and a solicitor bring matters to an unexpected conclusion.
